Boeing Poland sp. z o.o. EFSThe Boeing Company is looking for a Landing Gear Service Engineer – Structural Repair to join our Landing Gear Service Engineering team in Rzeszow.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced and Senior Landing Gear Service Engineers.
As part of your role, you will support service requests, customer solutions and predictive/proactive projects, for all in-service Boeing landing gear structures and systems. You will work directly with airline customers, Maintenance Repair Overhaul providers, and Suppliers to address and resolve any issues related to the in-service airplane system, related to Landing Gear structure and systems.
You will act as a liaison and coordinate with various engineering and technical disciplines to address customer concerns.
This position requires flexibility to support emergent airline issues, requirements, and meetings. Occasionally, you may be required to work off-shift schedules to support the 24/7/365 fleet operation.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops creative and innovative structural repair methods.
Works closely with Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair suppliers to provide high quality and timely repair dispositions to landing gear structures to include detailed instructions for addressing damage allowance/treatment and deviations to landing gear structures design and repairs.
Drives improvements to existing Component Maintenance Manuals and other maintenance documentation in support of our customers and development of Boeing Landing Gear repair methodologies.
Participates in current and future design/development initiatives to advocate for customer concerns/needs and improved supportability, maintainability, and reparability of landing gear structures.
Collaborates closely with landing gear structural design and stress analyst engineering to develop landing gear structural repairs.
Assists with the development and documentation of basic requirements via drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data. Develops or modifies basic designs based on defined requirements.
Assists monitoring suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
Responds to incoming customer service requests with development of robust and timely technical dispositions.
Supports the research into technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
Supports review and development of technical documentation (e.g. Fleet Team Digest articles, service letters, drawings, specifications, documents, data sets, manuals) in accordance with engineering processes and procedures for internal reference or external delivery.
Assists in developing troubleshooting and/or repair procedures, as well as providing analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
Participates in Customer on-site Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) activities to restore aircraft to serviceable conditions.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in the office in Rzeszow.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
2+ years of experience with Structural Repair, Structural Liaison, Structural Design or Structural Analysis.
Experience with Landing Gear.
Intermediate English level in both written and verbal is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
(Level 3, Experienced) 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
(Level 4, Senior) 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in developing or using various aircraft maintenance documents to maintain airplanes.
Airline Maintenance Operations experience.
Knowledge of Boeing Communication System.
