Hi! We're on the lookout for an experienced IT Project Manager to join Noda, a licensed UK Payment Institution and the brains behind an innovative Open Banking payments platform. If you're fueled by fintech excitement and seek a global career journey, keep reading!
What is Noda?
Noda is reshaping online payments, allowing seamless transactions from customers to merchants' bank accounts. With a footprint in the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia (Singapore up next!), we're seeking a talented IT Project Manager to be part of our dynamic team.
Your mission:
You will be working closely with our core product team. Your initial scope will be 100% focused on project management, but our plan is to slowly transform this position into a product ownership role, so if that's the direction you want to grow in - it's a perfect match! As a project manager, your main areas of responsibility will be:
- Task prioritization and progress tracking: managing the priority task pool for development and tracking the progress of these tasks.
- Team atmosphere and issue resolution: creating a positive team atmosphere, maintaining it, and addressing team members’ issues.
- Career development support: when necessary, forming development paths for team members in collaboration with the Tech Lead and the department Manager. We believe it’s crucial to actively support team members whose aspirations align with their responsibilities and benefit the product.
- Streamlining development: tracking the development process, analyzing its current state, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, eliminating ineffective approaches, and addressing staffing shortages or tasks that fall outside the team’s core responsibilities.
- Effective communication: organizing meetings to discuss work-related issues with necessary team members. We emphasize efficient communication - quick matters are solved on Slack, while meetings are reserved for more in-depth discussions.
- Task delegation: delegating tasks and monitoring their completion, especially those that are blocking the team’s progress.
Your skills and experience:
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager in financial services product companies;
- A strong grasp of Agile methodologies;
- Experience leading product teams using Scrum processes;
- Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence (or any other project management tool);
- Hands-on experience and expertise in scope and risk management, data analysis and making informed decisions, problem-solving and time management;
- Adaptability and comfort working in changing circumstances;
- Customer focus (prioritizing end-user needs);
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Russian and English (professional proficiency level or higher).
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in product ownership;
- Experience with Datadog, Kibana and/or Power BI;
- A background in development, QA or business analysis.
What we offer:
- 100% remote setup: let the world be your office - work from one of our locations or remotely. We span borders and continents, and promote the nomad lifestyle - it’s up to you to decide where you're most productive.
- Employee learning and development: we encourage you to constantly develop and grow within your field of expertise by covering the training and education fees.
- Team buildings: doesn’t matter where you work from - we’ll find a way to get the team together! Join a variety of online and offline activities, from local meet-ups to company-wide events.
- Tech: we provide or compensate all the necessary hardware and offer a budget for your home office setup.
- Paid time off: we value work-life balance and make sure you have more than enough time off to slow down and rest.
- Non-toxic environment: we love what we do, we are proud to be #nodapeople and we focus on working together to achieve our goals!
