Agile Project Manager, EUI Transformation
Euroclear are recruiting an Agile Project Manager (EPIC Delivery Owner) to play a key role in delivering a major technology and business transformation programme. You will be responsible for managing one or more diverse IT projects, for example delivering business change or platform modernisation and will typically be responsible for managing and supporting multiple squads/scrum teams and IT delivery functions. You will use your skills to engage with Senior Stakeholders, orchestrate the contribution of our global colleagues and resolve impediments to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Adherence to IT Controls and budget management are also integral to the role.
Responsibilities
In your role, your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Leading the development of the project proposal and plan to determine timeframe, budget, resource requirements, working with Scrum Masters, Product Owners and technical experts.
- Working with business analysts, product owners, technical experts and architects to analyze the requirements with the project sponsor/customer, to evaluate the feasibility of a project within the scope of a pre-defined strategy.
- Supporting, motivating and challenging delivery squads to deliver on time and budget, from initiation through to transition to BAU.
- Overseeing the technical, organizational, management and financial aspects of the project, defining the overall project governance and organization, the deliverable scope, and the associated responsibilities.
- Reporting project progress at all levels, including sponsor, senior management and/or clients, using tools such as ServiceNow, dashboards and presentations.
- Negotiating and managing changes in project specification, budget or scope with the project sponsor / client. Convincingly presenting the proposal and winning buy-in from stakeholders.
- Removing impediments from the project, managing conflicting interests, negotiating inputs between different parties and proactively identifying risks and issues.
- Working with project stakeholders and the wider tribe to continuously improve quality and/or productivity, ensuring delivery and documentation follow defined Euroclear Agile methodology, standards and guidelines.
- Prioritizing own workload across typically two or more concurrent projects.
Skillsets
You will be expected to have:
- Good business and technical understanding, gained over several infrastructure and/or application development projects, and the interpersonal skills to influence decisions taken with the project sponsor/client.
- Proven track record of leading medium to large projects, encompassing all stages of the lifecycle from requirements through design, build, testing, client acceptance and launch.
- Experience of managing the financial aspects of a project, using MS Excel and tools such as ServiceNow or Clarity
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, working with Scrum delivery teams, Scrum Masters and Product Owners to deliver the project outcomes.
- Experienced in using project planning tools such as MS Project, and Agile governance tools such as MS Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Able to efficiently produce progress reports and minute risks, issues and decisions.
- Experience of working in financial services or other regulated environment.
- Experience of managing infrastructure projects
It will be desirable if you have any of:
- Certification with a recognized Agile Project Management qualification would be beneficial – e.g. Prince2 Agile or PMI ACP or relevant experience.
- Experience in banking/financial markets, ideally with some knowledge of settlement of bonds and/or equities.
