As we expand our reach across Europe and beyond, we’re looking for a Hardware Installation Technician to join our dynamic team, working across Europe and Eastern Europe on some of the most advanced treatment delivery systems in the world.
This is a remote role with requirements to travel 75%, we are open to accept applications across Madrid, Spain or Warsaw, Poland.
What You’ll Do
As a Hardware Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical and electrical installation of Elekta’s cutting-edge Treatment Delivery Solutions at customer sites.
Independently install Phase 1 systems, including electrical and mechanical assembly, up to machine power-on.
Coordinate on-site activities with local rigging teams, hospital staff, contractors, and internal Elekta stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and fault-find across electrical, electronic, mechanical, water, and pressurised gas systems .
Deliver customer-focused service and ensure high satisfaction throughout the installation process.
Complete and hand over installation documentation to the Phase 2 team .
Travel across Europe, with the flexibility to support global projects when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installations to the highest safety and quality standards.
Serve as the on-site lead technician, coordinating with stakeholders.
Operate diagnostic tools and work with electronics, PCs, servers, and networks .
Provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of installation processes .
Mentor and support less experienced technicians when required .
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
HNC or equivalent in engineering (or relevant hands-on experience).
Strong background in mechanical/electronics systems and fault finding.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal) .
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
Clean driving license and valid passport .
Preferred:
Experience with medical or radiotherapy equipment .
Prior site management or installation experience.
Knowledge of high/low voltage, vacuum systems, or hospital engineering environments.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Fluency in written and verbal English & Spanish or Polish.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 75%.
