Job Description
The Global Payroll Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day activities of the global payroll team, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant payroll operations for IAG’s international workforce. This role is key in managing payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions, supporting payroll projects, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll analysts to deliver timely and precise payroll processing across all IAG operating companies and regions.
- Coordinate payroll activities to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and labor laws in various countries.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing improvement of payroll policies, processes, and systems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, resolving queries efficiently and diplomatically.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all payroll data and reporting, conducting regular audits and reviews.
- Support payroll-related projects and initiatives, driving transformation and standardization in alignment with IAG’s business objectives.
- Foster strong working relationships with HR, Finance, and IT teams as well as external vendors and authorities.
- Stay informed about global payroll trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring the team remains compliant and proactive.
- Prepare and deliver regular payroll performance reports and support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- Experience in international or multi-country administration and team leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with experience handling complex issues and process improvements.
- Proficiency in relevant payroll software and MS Office applications.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
