For our Finance Team we are currently looking for the General Ledger Team Lead.
Responsibilities in this role will be:
- Manage and supervise GL activities for multiple international markets including:
- Month end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Monthly reporting to the Group
- Fixed asset process
- Balance sheet account reconciliation
- Intercompany transactions
- Support standardization, consistency and efficiency of GL processes
- Manage department performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc reporting as per local and internal requirements
- Drive and design GL strategy to build a center of excellence, proper policies and procedures
- Take part in transition to migrate processes to BSC from other locations – plan and organize transfer and cooperate with local finance team
- Deal and resolve the escalations and queries from internal and external customers including auditors
- Maintain positive relationships and high level of cooperation with local finance teams and other departments
- Set team individual’s goals, monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure duties are performed in a timely manner and with the highest quality to fulfill common business goals
- Support professional development and skills enhancement of a team within Finance Organization
- Participate in implementation of a new ERP system – MS Dynamics D365
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and optimization of processes
We are looking for you to have:
- Professional experience in Finance/GL area for 5+ years
- Experience in people management/supervising GL processes or similar (AP, AR) in SSC/BPO environment would be an asset
- At least a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance & Accounting or related field)
- Very good knowledge and understanding of accounting processes
- Experience in transition process would be an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate with strong English oral and written skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Readiness to support processes creation, implementation and development
- Proactive thinking, ability to initiate and drive change
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving mindset
