The team
The Hitachi Digital (HD) Tax Team Division provides tax compliance services to support the Digital Infrastructure (DI), Digital Services (DS) and GlobalLogic business.
Our EMEA Tax Team responsible for direct and indirect taxes is spread over various locations globally and consists currently of 11 team members lead by the EMEA Tax Director, who is based in the Netherlands. Together we manage all aspects of corporate tax related matters including but not limited to direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance, transfer pricing, tax accounting, tax projects and interfacing with tax authorities.
The role
As an EMEA Tax Specialist you act as the primary point of contact for direct tax matters in several EMEA countries and manage all direct tax related topics like CIT, TP, DAC6 and Tax provisioning while also supporting the EMEA Tax Director with tax audits and other ad-hoc projects.
You collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Legal and Operations while also managing relationship with external parties like tax advisors and tax authorities.
For the countries that you’re responsible for you’re monitoring changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, providing timely guidance to relevant teams.
What you’ll bring
- University Degree with Tax and Finance specialization
- 6–9 years of experience in international taxation, preferably a combination of Big 4 experience combined with in-house experience
- Legal tax expertise is essential in this role, particularly for navigating complex international tax regulations, ensuring compliance, and advising on cross-border transactions
- Strong understanding of business needs with an outcome-focused approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor and collaborate effectively across finance, legal, and operations teams
- Fluent in English. Additional European languages are a plus
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle is a plus.
