The Compensation Advisor Role at Vice President Level is an influential professional pivotal in shaping and executing compensation strategies that directly align with and accelerate business goals, responsible for both assisting the strategic development of compensation programs and ensuring their effective operational execution. This role serves as a key advisor to HR and business leaders, leveraging deep subject matter expertise to design, implement, and manage compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate talent while aligning with business objectives and market competitiveness. The incumbent will balance a proactive, consultative approach with a hands-on responsibility for core compensation deliverables.
What you'll do:
- Provide HR consultation, advice, knowledge and expertise to HR Advisors and business managers on compensation, HRMS, reward and recognition related issues.
- Manage annual compensation planning process for a business unit(s) including: salary increases, bonuses, stock awards and other compensation related expenses, will collaborate with other disciplines such as tax, legal, finance, and technology, and impacts compensation end results through project management and client relationships.
- Work with Compensation Manager to ensure consistent compensation policies and practices are applied across all employees.
- Provide HR consultation and responds to inquiries from HR Partners on compensation, HRMS, reward and recognition related issues
- Apply technical expertise in Compensation principles, practices and procedures in the completion of assignments
- Impact compensation end results through project management and client relationships
- Partner and consult with HR Generalist, Citigroup Employee Services and other Senior Compensation team members to implement and deliver on projects
- Manage multiple projects across multiple teams and has the ability to influence decisions
- Manage market data process including surveys, individual benchmarking, and presentation of results to Senior Managers
- Project management and program execution for new compensation policies and pay management across the business
- Assist with onboarding and separation process with regards to reward for assigned business as needed
- Coordination of annual compensation process for salary review and incentive awards
- Conduct benchmarking, market, and internal equity analysis
- Partner with regional colleagues to ensure global consistency
- Additional duties as assigned
What we'll need from you:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent English skills
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
