For Arrow Global Supply Chain Services, we are currently looking for a Buyer. Arrow Global Supply Chain Services is a division of Arrow Electronics that manages highly complex, high-volume global supply chains for large OEMs and suppliers.
This means our Supply-Chain-as-a-Service offering is built on top of 85 years of Arrow Electronics supply chain leadership and expertise in the electronics industry. We accelerate your direct electronics supply chain into the future by leveraging Arrow’s seasoned industry experts, best-in-class processes, world-class systems and infrastructure, extensive global footprint and reach, and the orchestrator of the electronics partner ecosystem.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role as Buyer, you will be part of our global service organization with Service Centers teams located in Sweden, China, Hungary and Mexico. As a Buyer, you are our main interface to our suppliers, and you ensure that we deliver goods timely and accurately to our supply chain customers with time critical needs.
In this role, you will be involved in resolving issues quickly and effectively to meet customer needs.
- Place supplier purchase orders to meet customer forecast and order demand.
- Manage supplier backlog which include push, pull, cancellations.
- Manage escalations with suppliers.
- Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies.
- Initiate new part creation.
- Ensure supplier performance and manage quarterly scorecard for the suppliers.
- Maintain system parameters of purchasing and supplier.
- Take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious solutions.
- Occasionally participate in meetings with suppliers as required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Self-Starter and Team Player.
- Ability to work and think independently.
- Superior organizational, resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills, also in English.
- Proven track record of strong work ethic and customer service.
- Expert organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
