Accounts Receivable Manager with French
New Accounts Receivable Manager is primarily responsible for leading credit and collections activities, mentoring the team, and ensuring efficient processing of accounts. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, fostering team development and tackling complex challenges to align with departmental goals.
In this role, a typical day will include :
• Oversee collections, credit, disputes, and cash management for Alcon
• Ensure team collects outstanding receivables and manages disputes/deductions per contract terms
• Lead negotiations with customers to improve financial controls and set up special credit arrangements
• Actively lead and develop the Accounts Receivable team to build strong customer and partner relationships
• Develop broad knowledge of sales and operations to effectively lead during problem-solving
• Ensure timely identification and application of all payments
• Create and manage Key Performance Indicators and credit policies to drive Accounts Receivable department improvement
• Lead continuous improvement efforts of the Accounts Receivable team
• Set clear objectives and strategy for the team, ensuring performance through coaching and development
• Ensure Accounts Receivable team operates within established policies to avoid audit or compliance issues
• Provide training, guidance, and support to junior employees, enhancing team capabilities
• Handle escalated or complex issues/projects requiring cross-functional coordination
• Oversee projects and deliverables autonomously, proactively developing and managing improvement projects from concept to implementation

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON :
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance required. Masters or Advanced degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred ,
- About 5 years of experience, plus min. 2 years of experience as Team Lead or Manager,
- Proficient ERP knowledge (SAP),
- Fluent English and French skills written and spoken,
- Experience working within shared services teams preferred.
